Action Contre la Faim - Lycée Français Bonaparte, Doha

Pour la deuxième année consécutive, le lycée Français Bonaparte a Doha a organisé le course Action Contre la Faim. Les élevés de l’école primaire participaient pour récolte de l’argent . Quant aux maternelles, eux aussi, ont fait leur part en vendent des objets crées en classes.

 

 

   

      
 
 

What a foggy

I was quite sick for the past few days, but still can't resist taking few snaps specially if we have a view like this in the morning

 p/s: just ignore the hand print on the window...(that's to show that i never bother to clean it up)

  

 

Thank goodness

Last night after dinner, we decided to show the kids some of the photos when there were much younger..after minutes of clicking the mouse left and right, trying to unveil from C drive, D drive and even F drive, we still can't find some of them..and Karim start to get bit frustrated when i told him..hey, i got some of the photos in the blog! YAY, big YAY from the blog! Thank goodness we're in the new millenium where we have some "back up" from the blog..

It will be such a big lost if i hadn't put up some of the photos here..specially those birthdays celebrations, vacations and the most precious photos will be during Karim's parents came to visit us in Kuala Lumpur. We realised we lost most of this photos when our IBM laptop crashed in 2008 and we hadn't do managed to do any backup back then..and i'm so grateful shat I did put some of this precious photos here in the blog..

And tonight to celebrate to opening of the festival, we got to view some of the fireworks from our apartment..too bad there's a building blocking our view..but hey, better than nothing isn't it?..

When you don't expect thing to happened

As usual, every saturday we went for the riding class for Louisa. Today, not much different from any other day. BUT...we did noticed the horses get bit excited and some of them are quite restless. For exemple Louisa's pony, Honey, she's very stubborn and refused to do what she was asked to do and instead keep on eating..

After 30 minutes of exercising, the trainer decided Louisa's group (6 of them) should go for a walk in the wood. I was walking with Rayan not far behind but got distracted when Rayan decided to pick up something and when I raise my head, I saw 2 white horses galopping away from the rest of the group. I ran towards the trainer as I was wondering what's happening, I'm scared for Louisa. The trainer told me that the 2 horses just ran away with 2 kids on them! Just imagine watching the western movie where cowboys did their pursuits...Then she asked me if i could bring the rest of the group back to the center as she have to find the 2 horses and the kids -  some of the girls start to crying including Louisa. And me, never hold any horse in my life and here I have to pull 4 horses plus 4 scary kids. Towards the center, I just scream help because the horses start to get very nervous, luckily few peoples were there and they help me. Phew....i feel so sorry and worried wondering what happened to 2 other kids.

On arriving in the center, i saw 1 of the kid lying down on, screaming and crying. Apparently he fell down while trying to stay safe on the horse, unfortunately luck not on his side. Poor Charlie, i feel so sorry for him. All the kids from his group surrounding him. I asked his mom if I could give any help and some other moms told me not to worry as the ambulance are coming. We stayed for few more minutes, (yeah, i'm a paparazzi). 

We left after when they put him in the ambulance and was told that he will be taken to Hamad. Hopefully everything will be okay for him.

Do not get me wrong, I'm a Muslim, I practise my religion, but what happened in Malaysia for the last few days and weeks has make me feel so dissapointed with my fellow countrymens. It seems that the do not really understand the meaning of it. Allah don't judge you the way you pronounce His Name, He judge you on how do you your duty as a Muslim, as a person and by the way you live your lives,}

Eid Holiday come and go..oh wait...it's still holiday!

Like it's written on the title, the Eid's holiday come and go without us noticing. One whole week tucking in and all the lost weight during ramadhan creeping slowly to our body...the temptations of eating are so great..where is my will???

As i writing this, about the same time yesterday, I read in the QatarLiving Forum about schools in Qatar will be close for another week because of this H1N1 prevention as some of the schools will be just open today after 3 months holidays. And as expected, most of the pupils will be arriving from the effected countries and the Min. of Edu. trying to curb down the virus thus closing down the school so that if there's some kids contracting this virus, he or she will have 1 week of incubation.

I never thought that Lycee Francais will be closing down too as they've been working since early of September and I don't see the logic of closing it down. I discussed it with Alison and another mother as at 4 pm, we don't have any news from the school. But to my not too surprised, by 8.30 pm last night, our neighbour knocked the door and telling us that the school are difinitely close..WT? And later for few times my handphone ringing like a busy bee..and with the e-mail coming from the school confirming the news that already confirmed...

Here we are, wasting for another week....on positive side, more bonding time for mom and kids....:) happy force holidays everybody
