It's supposed to be a games but it's end up in hospital...yeah it's not funny when you have to spend most of your afternoon in the hospital isn't it and it's getting worse whan you were treated baaaaadddd....and this gonna be a very long entry!
Yesteray morning, as it was the last day of school holiday for Louisa and Rayan, they were forced by me to clean up theor playroom..of course after few minutes of blackmails they managed to listened to me..around 10 am, once they have finished..they told me they wanted to go and play in our room ie..jumping on our bed though I told them someone might get hurt if they falling from the bed..but Louisa and Rayan said don't worry mama we will be carefull..yeahhhh few minutes after I heard a big boom and Rayan were crying in pain..I took him and consoling him but at the same time scolding both of them (what kind of mom am I??) Then they both continue playing but calmly this time and I continue to do the rest of house cleaning. About half and hour later Rayan asking me if he could have his milk and complaining about headache..hmmm it's not a good sign, once he got his milk he told me he wanted to sleep and wanted me to be with him..I'm starting to get worried but I still wait..but I didn't wait any longer as he started to vomiting continuously..I rush to the phone and call karim telling him what happened and decided to take him to hospital. Called the taxi guy and 20 minutes later he came..by this time, Rayan still vomiting and are really weak and pale, he can't even stand on his feet. I called Karim again and asked him to join me in Al Ahli. Once arrived, we went directly to the Emergency dept and they take in charge of Rayan at once, but Rayan being Rayan he refused to be open his eyes nor to be look at..grr..2 doctors came and decided that Rayan should be transfer to Hamad Hospital (govt.) because they don't have enough equipment for children and they will take us with the ambulance as this will be the best for him according to them..God they're really helpfull..by this time Karim still in the office waiting for his colleague to bring back the car from lunch..
Here we go, in the ambulance..and Rayan in a stretcher unaware where is he and what happening around him. Louisa was a bit scared to as she's one of the culprit in this case! She told me that she love rayan very much and she don't want him to die...owwww of course he won't he just not that alright I told her...She was quite impressed by the ambulance (actually me too) and too calmed our worries, I told her that tonton Seb worked like this too and the only diff. is that he work with the fire brigade not with the hospital.
When we arrived in Hamad, the two ambulance guys, one of them is Tunisian and speak french to us when he heard us talking in french and wondering why are we in Qatar which I explained to him later. After been rejected about 5 times because this guys not too sure which dept. have to go and the really unhelpfull staff from the hospital, we finally managed to go to the place where we should go..the ambulance guy said their sorry to me about this "jokes". Now we're in the Trauma dept and while waiting for them to filled in the form Rayan start to wake up and vomiting again. About 10 minutes later they took us to the Female Injury Room (there's a male and female room here) and Rayan have to go here because I'm accompanying him. Here, again I have to explained what happened and I guess this is the 5 times I told them what have happened to Rayan. The doctor decided to sent him for CT Scan and called one of his colleuge for the advice, the guy came and have a glance at Rayan and told the other doctor that Rayan is okay and doing well.. WTHHHH! Not even look at Rayan and saying that in front of me..I was so red and angry and asked the doctor what is that mean, the man look apologetic and told me they will treat Rayan very soon..hellooo it's been almost 2 hrs we're here and nothing happened....Karim arrived at last and asking me what have been done so far..the answer : NOTHING..We waited almost 2 hrs before they really took him to the CT Scan block but once there Rayan so unhelpful and start to screaming..they took him out again and decided to give something to calm him down..another waiting for 1 hr..3 pm at last they took Rayan in and give a suppository..this boy are really stubborn and even 1 hr later he still up and nothing show him that he will sleep or whatsoever.
This is the best part..the nurse that taking care of Rayan asking another nurse to help her and this lady just refused plainly and this is happened in front of us..god, pity her, so many patients but yet she have to deal it alone..aand a very unhelpful doctor either (an afternoon shift doctor and howww not happy I am with him), and I keep on asking him, what are there going to do now? And his asnwer, wait..we can't wait Mister.. Few minutes later another nurse came in and start to screamed again with the nurse responsible for Rayan...she ordered this nurse to take Rayan to Trauma Dept. to be treated...again here, the nurse start to argued with the other one...gosh WTH?? I can see Karim starting to get pi***d and he start to demanding what happening to the doctors..they managed to calmed Rayan and took him to do the scanning but they have to add more sedative for Rayan just before that.
Karim apologised to the doctors for his outbursts ealier. And the doctor did the same too..he told us that everyody are scarred to take any responsbility and Rayan being the victim here. The result came back and he's been given green light to leave the hospital but of course we have to observe him for another 24 hrs.
We are frustrated with the service we got here actually, we've been pushed left and right the moment we step in this hospital. I don't think so we will return to this hospital again.
Latest update: Rayan didn't go to school today as I prefer for him to relax.. and after a chat with Alison (she's a midwife), she told me that for a head injury, normally the doctor/nurse don't give any sedative to the patient and they will keep the patient for 24 hrs for observation..

Whoa, I'm glad Rayan is finally ok. What a big adventure for a little boy! And I am outraged by a hospital with doctors who don't want to take responsibility for their patients... why did they become doctors anyway?!

Maybe they like the title but not the job itself?
You know what, on the way out from the hospital, Rayan are still drowsy but managed to tell his papa that he want to eat in Tasty Bell....and he ate a big burger by himself!
All this vomiting and waiting make him really hungry...

Fortunately this is a happy-ending story...
I hope Rayan will be even better tomorrow, and that this misadventure will be forgotten in few days..

Bloody nurses and doctors!!
Hanim, saya pun sama. I will say" Padan muka!! pi buat lagi" so you are not alone... : )
I thought I see those type of bloody attitude only in the UK but it there too? truly shocking.
He had a mild concussion due to the fall(did he fell). Patients needs to stay still during a CT scan, that is why he was given a calming down medicine. It is really scary to be in the tunnel in a scary place such as a hospital.. and Rayan as a young boy, sure was really scared.
nak kene pelempang je.. nurses and doctors.. macam tu.

You can say that again Gille..I was fuming and feeling the same too..not only in UK but here too,I guess this is very universal disease..
Yes, he fell flat on his back actually..so far he's behaving ie. no jumping on sofa..no jumping on the bed either and hope he will learn his lesson.
Bukan pelempang saja Gille, penendang pun boleh

Greg, we were relieved that he's ok now..but I still check on him every now and then just to make sure he's ok..tq
I don't think he will forgot that quite fast as he still have the scar from the piqure which he showed proudly to his teacher yesterday

Poor Rayan! Must be a really terrible experience for you and family. Glad he is better now.
Doctors and nurses these days (not all) only go for the money that comes with the job not because they purely want to help people.

Syari...unfortunately we don't have much choice the other day..and yeah, it's true not all of them are like these people...luckily
